AUTUMN GLEN IMPROVEMENTS updated June 25, 2024

As summer begins, our neighborhood is hopping with activity! Things are getting done to get our community spruced up and beautiful!

  • We have several condos that are going up for sale for various reasons. Please remember if you are selling a condo in the community– or buying one– the community is legally designated as a “Senior Living Community” for people over 55 years old. Please discuss with a director if you have questions about how that status affects you and the purchase or sale of a condo.
  • Community Contact List under development: The contact list is a confidential document with resident contact information. The “use purpose” is a community safety measure, and the information is confidential and privileged to only the owners/ residents of Autumn Glen Condo Community.  The directors are in the process of information gathering.  Once the list is ready it will be distributed.
  • Several steps in the sidewalk have either sunken or raised up during the years causing a ‘trip/ fall’ danger.   Efforts to fix the concert will need to be put on the 2025 project list due to cost.    In the interim, striped tape (like used on streets for striping) to mark the steps to help walkers avoid a trip/fall
  • Condo Repairs Have Started! The directors have contracted with Long Branch Contractors to start repairs for the individual units. Progress may be slow, but every condo will be evaluated. If you have concerns about your condo, let one of the directors know!

AUTUMN GLEN IMPROVEMENTS updated May 6, 2024

2024 started off with a bang! You’ll have noticed some changes around the neighborhood over the last few months.

  • A safety fence has been installed behind the condos that overlook the stone wall in the cul-de-sac on Autumn Glen North Drive. The fence was put in by “3Acre Fence Company”, owned by Curtus Moore, and they are also installing handrails beside the steps located in various areas throughout the community. Should you see Mr. Moore hard at work, be sure to let him know how pleased we are with the projects.

  • Another upcoming community wide project is an evaluation tour with the Putnam County Remove Invasive Plants Coalition. The group will be looking over current plantings and trees to see if any are nonlocal and/or invasive. Ultimately, the goal is to have all local plantings of noninvasive variety.

Additional improvements are discussed at the Board of Directors meeting every meeting. If you’d like to submit an idea or join the discussions, the Board meets the second Thursday of the month at 11:30 am at the Putnam County Airport.

OUTCOME OF THE SPECIAL OWNERS’ MEETING

THANK YOU to all the owners that showed up for the Special Members’ Meeting. We had 29 attendees who shared laughter, interesting information, and tasty refreshments. Along with the fun, the members also buckled down and conducted Association business.

The agenda was jam- packed! One of the topics that garnered the most interest was regarding the new methods for submitting the monthly assessments (“dues”). The members listened to guests Nancy Michael (First National Bank), Ashley Burns (First National Bank) and Tiffany Deer (Deer Accounting) discuss the new process for submitting assessments. Members asked lots of questions clarifying the five (5) different options available.

Business of the evening was to vote on approval of the amended Covenants, Conditions, and Restrictions (“CCRs”) as well as the 2024 budget. The ultimate outcome was approval of the CCRs with 27 votes for the CCRs, 2 votes against the CCRs, and 5 owners that were not in attendance. The budget was approved by a voice vote with all “Ayes” and no “Nays”.

More information about the outcome of the meeting and the agenda items can be requested from Joanne (Secretary).
